The Transport Research Arena 2016 (TRA2016) conference will be held from April 18th to 21st 2016 at the National Stadium in Warsaw, Poland, on the theme :
MOVING FORWARD – Innovative Solutions for Tomorrow’s Mobility.
TRA conference is the most important transport-related research event in europe, gathering every 2 years the key stakeholders : researchers, experts, operators, industry and policy-makers. The main initiator of the TRA conference is the European Commission in cooperation with the Conference of European Directors of Roads (CEDR), the forum of European National Highway Research Laboratories (FERHL) and with the support of several european technology platforms. Co-organizers of TRA2016 are the Ministry of Infrastructure and Development (MliR) and Road and Bridge Reasearch Institute (IBDiM).

The scope of the TRA2016 conference covers all modes of surface transport, i.e road, rail, and waterborne, as well as their co-modality apllied to both passenger and freight transport in urban as well as in long distance settings. Airports are also integrated for their contribution to the transport systems.
An efficient mobility is a key issue for the policy-makers. Allowing free movement of people and goods is essential for the economic prosperity and sustainable living. TRA 2016 conference is an excellent opportunity for the reseachers and scientists to present a practical contribution of their research results in the field of transport.

IMPORTANT : currently, TRA2016 organizers are negotiating various options for teh publication of the TRA2016 proceedings. While not finalized yet, it is expected that majority of the presented papers will be published via an open-access platform indexed by ISI / CPCI, Web of Science, Scopus, EI Compendex, among others. All authors will be informed on the final decision regarding the TRA2016 proceedings via paper submission system.
