CMI Sustainable Urban Transport Programme: National Days of Urban Transport in Morocco

On 23 and 24 September 2013 will be held in Rabat on National Days of Urban Transport in Morocco. These events are organized in the framework of the Marseille Center for Mediterranean Integration (CMI) on Sustainable Urban Transport in the Mediterranean*. This event brings together experts from the transport and urban mobility Moroccan share a vision for the development of urban transport sector and identify key priority areas to undertake short and medium term to achieve it. They extend exchanges between actors structuring transport system that had been committed 3 October 2012 with the support of the World Bank on the themes of governance and funding.
UCLG Congress in Rabat: SSATP Side Event on Mobility and Accessibility in Urban Areas of Africa

The Africa Transport Policy Program (SSATP) will organize a Side Event of the World Summit of Local and Regional Leaders, Congress of UCLG on Mobility and Accessibility in Urban Areas of Africa in Rabat, Morocco, the first of October 2013 - 2.00 – 4.00 pm. The SSATP event will create greater awareness on the need for comprehensive and integrated mobility and accessibility within urban development in Africa. It will provide an important link with those at the forefront of driving the urban development agenda and facilitate opportunities for partnerships in meeting the current and future needs of mobility and accessibility for urban communities in Africa.
The third session of Francophone training program "Strengthening the capacity of policy makers in the urban transportation planning" held in Rabat from 22 to 27 September 2013 in favor of Moroccan and African Cities in partnership with the Directorate General of Local Government (Directorate Training of administrative and technical staff and Department of Planning and Infrastructure). This session takes place at the International University of Rabat-UIR.
A delegation from Medellin (Colombia) welcomed by Grenoble Transport Authority

From 18 to 20 September 2013, the Transport Authority and Grenoble Alpes Métropole received a delegation of Medellín . For three days, the Colombian delegation led by Carlos Mario Montoya , Executive Director of the Area Metropolitana del Valle del Aburrá had the opportunity to discover Grenoble and its planning and transport projects. In November, a delegation will travel to Medellin to understand the Colombian context, observe the achievements in terms of transport and set up a long term cooperation between the two cities.
CODATU organized a study tour in Paris and Lyon for a MRB (Hanoi) delegation

A delegation of officials from the Hanoi People's Committee and the Metropolitan Railway Management Board (MRB), the structure in charge of the construction of several subway lines in the Vietnamese capital,camed in August for a one-week study tour. After the seminar organized in collaboration with the AFD and MRB in Hanoi on November 19, 2012 Theme: "The management and operation of the public transport network ground to Hanoi" (see report), organized a CODATU visit networks of Ile-de-France and Lyon to allow senior mass transit projects in Hanoi to measure the issues of integration of transport policies and the provision of public transport in French cities.
The next General Assembly of CODATU will be held during the French National Public Transport Meetings

The 24th of French National Public Transport Meeting will be held in Bordeaux, 27-29 of November 2013. CODATU will organize in partnership with GART a special session on city-to-city cooperation the 29th at 10:00 am. This event will be followed by CODATU General Assembly.
