[Publication] Who pays what for urban transport?

Five years after the first edition, AFD and MEDDE wish to release a new enhanced version of this handbook which aims to highlight key examples of funding solutions which can be mobilised in the public transport sector. The cases have been updated, new examples have been added and the analytical framework has been refined. This publication presents a frame of reference for decision-makers, in both the North and South, who would be brought to think about the organisation and financial structure of the urban transportation system which offers the best fit with their city’s requirements and particularities.



[Conference] CODATU XVI: Draft Programme is available online !

February the 2nd to the 5th – Istanbul, Turkey

The CODATU XVI Conference, organized by CODATU in association with the İstanbul Teknik Üniversitesi (İTÜ), will take place in Istanbul from the 2nd to the 5th of February 2015. It will treat the subject “Energy, climate and air quality challenges: the role of urban transport policies in developing countries and emerging economies”. Debates and presentations will turn around the issue of urban transport and climate change, making the conference a milestone of the way to COP21 in Paris (December 2015).

[Workshop] Public Transport, Mobility and Metropolitan Strategies: how to transform cities for a better accessibility?

CODATU and the Urban Community of Bordeaux (France) are pleased to invite you to a one-day workshop that will be held on Monday, November the 24th. This seminar is launching a one-year cooperation programme on urban mobility between Hyderabad Authorities and Urban community of Bordeaux. The partnership between Hyderabad and Bordeaux Local Authorities on urban mobility is also part of a programme leaded by CODATU to promote sustainable urban mobility policy through city-to-city cooperation.



[Publication] Paratransit: a key element in a dual system

This document published with the support of AFD provides a review of the recent literature and seek to characterise the different models of paratransit, illustrated in specific examples of cities with highly contrasted realities. The conclusion identifies key elements which warrant more in-depth analysis.

[Reminder] Call for papers Velo-City 2015 - Nantes (France)

From 2 to 5 June 2015 - Nantes (France)

Nantes metropolitan authority has been selected by the European Cyclist Federation to organise the Velo-City congress in Nantes in 2015 from 2 to 5 June 2015. A Call for papers has been launched and the submission deadline is the 19th of November 2014. It is open for decisions makers, academic searchers, experts in cycling policy, NGO, etc.
