[Conference] CODATU XVI: programme online!

From 2nd to 5th of February 2015 - Istanbul (Turkey)

The updated programme of CODATU XVI is now online. this event will be a unique opportunity for decision makers and academics to debate about the role of urban transport to mitigate climate change. High level speakers have already confirmed their participation: Mohamed Sajid, Mayor of Casablanca, Pam O’Connor, Mayor of Santa Monica, Louis Nègre, Vice-President of Nice Metropolitean Municipality, Bernard Rivalta, President of SYTRAL (Lyon), Mümin Kahveci, General Manager of IETT (Istanbul), Pierre Mongin, President of RATP, Paris, France, Jean-Pierre Farandou, President, KEOLIS, etc. David Banister (Oxford University) and Sanjivi Sundar (TERI) will open the scientific programme. Suzana Kahn Ribeiro, vice-chair of IPCC, Michael Replogle (ITDP) et Dario Hidalgo (Embarq) will present the potential contribution of urban transport in climate change mitigation.

[Training] Next Francophone LUTP Training Session

7-13 June 2015, Marseille (France)

The Leaders in Urban Transport Planning (LUTP) program helps participants develop a structured way of decision making that considers the complexities of urban transport. The program uses a "hands on" learning approach that makes extensive use of case studies, group exercises, and site visits to highlight the linkages among the different components of the urban transport system.

[New] Francophone master degree on Transport and sustainable mobility in African Cities

Before 20th of march 2015

Senghor University, CODATU and CNAM will launch a Master degree on "Transport and sustainable mobility in African cities" in september 2015. This programme will be hosted and coordinated by the African School of Architecture and Urbanism (EAMAU) in Lome (Togo). Applications from african managers working for urban transport companies or administrations as well as young professionals who wish to improve on mobility issues.
