For the second consecutive year, CODATU offers to amateur photographers worldwide to submit pictures which challenge us to re-imagine urban mobility and emphasize on the importance of urban transport to ensure a sustainable urban development. Looking ahead to HABITAT III Conference, which will take place in Quito (Ecuador) in October 2016, and which aims at setting-up a New Urban Agenda for the next 20 years, CODATU photo competition focuses on the importance of providing an inclusive mobility, without age limit. The objective is to show how urban transport put all generations in movement, and to show it in the most original and engaging way! Hence you are invited to submit your pictures on the following theme:

Ensuring smooth mobility for all in the city is a real challenge, each generation having its own needs, which urban and transport infrastructures have to smartly cater to.
The competition, launched on Wednesday 25th of May, 2016, is closing on September 28th 2016, midnight (CET). Only few days left to submit your pictures, using the application form on codatu.org.
The vote will be organized online, from September 30th to October 9th, 2016. An international judging panel will take the final decision and the results will be disclosed between 17th and 20th October 2016, during HABITAT III conference. The winner will be informed personally.
The winner will see its picture exhibited on CODATU website’s home page for one month and will get free entry to CODATU XVII conference in India in 2017. CODATU will also partner with cities worldwide and propose them to expose the best photos of the competition in their public transport networks.
1st prize: 500€ + Free registration to CODATU XVII Conference in India + Photo album of the 20 best photos of the competition ;
2nd prize: 300€
3rd prize: 150€
We invite participants to carefully read the following points before participating:
Each participant can submit a maximum of 2 photos, with a title of 50 characters maximum and a caption comprising of a description of the photo and the place where it was taken;
The files must follow the following charter: nom de famille_prénom-Titre.jpg;
The pictures shall be sent in JPEG or TIFF format, with a minimum resolution of 30x40cm in 300dpi (3543 x 4724 pixels). The size of the file shall not exceed 20Mo.
The pictures which do not comply with the above rules will not be accepted.
